Columbia River – Revelstoke MLA closed his office in Kimberley this year, but has visited regularly to meet with constituents. He will host an open house next Wednesday, September 9 at Centennial Centre in Kimberley at 5 PM.
There will be formal presentation at 6:30 PM.
The subject under discussion? The Harmonized Sales Tax. Macdonald says he is pleased to present this opportunity to assist his constituents in more fully understanding the implications of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on individuals and local businesses. Information from a variety of sources will be provided to assist participants in understanding the proposed tax, he says.
“My inbox has been overflowing with comments about the planned HST,” said Macdonald. “Many are stating their objection to the tax, but also some are just asking questions about how HST is going to affect them and their businesses.”
