Macdonald reminds Minister of her responsibility to respond to

City’s concerns about Big Eddy bridge

VICTORIA – In estimates debate for the Ministry of Transportation, Columbia River – Revelstoke MLA Norm Macdonald raised the issue of the Big Eddy bridge in Revelstoke.

The estimates process is an opportunity for line-by-line debate on the budget for each Ministry within government.

Thursday, October 8th, morning, committee A (Estimates: Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure):

“The Big Eddy connection across the Columbia is an important link.  It’s a single lane, but it’s one that residents depend upon,” said Macdonald.  “Re-routing traffic up to the Trans-Canada bridge presents significant problems to residents and I know that the City of Revelstoke has clearly laid out these challenges.”

Macdonald will continue to push the Minister to present a reasonable solution that will meet the needs of Revelstoke residents.
